IF DAMAGE HAS OCCURRED DURING SHIPPING MAKE SURE THE DELIVERY DRIVER IS MADE AWARE AND THE PACKAGE IS MARKED AS DAMAGED THRU CARRIER SYSTEMS (FOR EXTENSIVE DAMAGE REFUSE THE DELIVERY AND SEND IT BACK) SHIPMENTS NOT DAMAGED OR OTHERWISE REFUSED WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION WILL BE CHARGED A 50% RESTOCKING FEE. Warranty Coverage Limited Warranty – Outboard Marine LLC (OM) warrants its products for a period not to exceed twelve (12) months from date of receipt as follows: Any product, re-manufactured by OM and found in the reasonable judgment of OM to be defective materials and workmanship, will be repaired or replaced by OM without cost for parts and labor. OM is not responsible for warranty coverage of any product sold that has been subject to misuse, products that have been altered or modified in any way. This warranty does not cover neglect, negligence, or accident or that has been improperly maintained, operated or installed. This warranty does not cover damage to the product due to rust or corrosion, or extend to repairs, made necessary by normal wear, or by the use of other products or accessories which in the judgment of OM are either incompatible or adversely affect the operation, performance, or durability of OM product. Disassembly of any product manufactured by our company without prior approval will void your warranty. OM’s obligation under this warranty is exclusively and strictly limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts. OM assumes no other responsibilities for any other damages of any nature, incidental or consequential. This warranty extends to the original purchaser only, accordingly this warranty is not transferable. Return Authorization Policy • The Dealer must inform OM of the failure by phone or correspondence. • We will then complete a Warranty Claim Form and issue a Return Authorization Number. • You must affix the Return Authorization Number to the outside of the box that you return your product in. • Upon receipt of the product we will correct the problem or notify you of any problems and the product will be returned to you FREIGHT PAID, if in our judgment the warranty is approved. *Any product which is sent back without a Return Authorization Number will automatically be sent back to sender FREIGHT COLLECT, no exceptions. BREAK-IN PROCEDURES For 2-stroke When using oil injection, add 50:1 oil mixture to the fuel tank for the first 10 hours, example; one pint of oil to every six gallons of fuel. RPM is not to exceed 3000 for the first five hours. RPM is not to exceed 4000 for the remaining five hours of break-in. Avoid prolonged operating at any one set rpm for the complete break-in period.
